How we collect, use, and protect your information

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Your privacy is our priority. This policy outlines how Geolify protects your data and respects your rights while you use our Generative Engine Optimization services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Site, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, when you participate in activities on the Site, or otherwise when you contact us.

  • Personal Data: Name, email address, and contact information.

Tracking Technologies: Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with our website, which helps us improve your experience. Clarity records user sessions, heatmaps, and other usage data. This data is anonymized and does not identify you personally. You can learn more about Microsoft Clarity and opt-out of data collection by visiting the Microsoft Privacy Statement. (Link to Microsoft Privacy Statement or Clarity opt-out page will be provided upon further review).

2. AI & Data Usage

Geolify utilizes advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide our services.

Our Commitment to Data Privacy

Your data remains yours. We strictly do NOT use your private content to train our public models. Your inputs are processed securely solely to generate the insights you request.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive:

4. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

5. Chrome Extension Privacy Practices

The Geolify Chrome Extension is an optional companion that lets you run a GEO audit from your browser toolbar. The following privacy rules apply when you use the extension:

  • User-initiated audits only. The extension does not access, analyze, or transmit any page data unless you click the extension icon and explicitly run an audit on the active tab.
  • No background browsing. The extension does not track navigation, analyze pages, or monitor tabs outside of the audit session. Background activity is limited to completing OAuth sign-in and refreshing the access token before it expires.
  • No raw page content uploaded. We do not upload raw HTML, full page text, form data, cookies, local storage, or other website content. The extension sends only the structural metadata needed to analyze AI crawler access, LLM signals, and schema.
  • Secure local storage. OAuth tokens and workspace preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's encrypted storage. You can clear this data at any time by signing out of the extension.
  • One fixed API origin. The extension communicates only with Geolify's authenticated API over HTTPS. No analytics or advertising scripts are injected.
  • No sale of personal data. Information collected through the extension is used solely to provide the audit service and is never sold to third parties.
